What you need to bring
A laptop or desktop
MacBook, Windows, Chromebook — doesn't matter. If it opens a web browser, you're good. $300 Chromebook? Works. 2018 MacBook Air? Works.
8GB RAM minimum
Most computers made in the last 5 years have this. If yours feels slow opening 3 tabs, you might need an upgrade — but try it first.
Stable internet connection
You'll be talking to AI models in the cloud. Home wifi is fine. Mobile hotspot works in a pinch.
A web browser (Chrome or Arc recommended)
That's it. Seriously. Most of the tools we use run entirely in the browser. No installing weird software.
Choose a CLI builder
We primarily build on Claude Code, but any text-to-build tool works similarly. Pick the one that matches where you're at.

CLI-based AI builder from Anthropic. This is what we primarily build on. It runs in your terminal and can create full-stack applications from plain English descriptions. The most powerful option once you're comfortable.

Visual builder with AI. Drag, drop, describe — it builds. Perfect if you've never touched code and want to ship something fast. Great for landing pages, simple apps, and prototypes.
Bolt.new
Browser-based full-stack builder. Describe what you want, watch it build in real-time. No setup, no downloads, no terminal. Just open the tab and go.
Cursor
AI-powered code editor. If you already code (or want to learn), this is VS Code with superpowers. AI autocomplete, chat, multi-file edits — it's like pair programming with a genius.
What a session looks like
Every session is 2 hours, guaranteed. The first 30 minutes is always structured learning, then it's free time to build whatever you want.

Every session starts with 30 minutes of structured learning. A new tool, a new technique, a live demo. Everyone does this together — it's the one non-negotiable.
Free build time
Open your laptop and work on whatever you want. Your own project, a group project, or just follow along with what someone else is building. Mute your mic and focus? Cool. Want to screenshare and pair up? Also cool.
Done. Close the tab. Feel good.

Need help getting set up? We do 1-on-1 screenshare setup sessions for new members. We'll walk you through everything — tools, terminal, configurations — so you're ready to build on day one.
Setup is free for new members, one time. After your initial setup session, any additional setup or reconfiguration incurs a $49 setup fee. We want to help everyone get started, but we also need to keep sessions productive for the whole group.
